Nine years ago we travelled through Central America, stopping right at the border of South America. After that trip, we promised ourselves that we would return one day to continue where we left off. The west coast of the continent sounded fascinating to us. With the beaches, the Andes and the Amazon Rainforest, there was more than enough to keep us entertained. We quit our jobs, loaded up our backpacks and set off to see as much as we could of these huge countries that had loads to offer. Starting at the top, we made our way south through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile (with a brief stint in Bolivia).
